I love the professional treatment that I receive at Exceptional Dentistry.

My daughter (6 weeks) had a laser tongue and lip tie release done by Dr. Berning. Totally worth the 1.5 hour drive from Cedar Rapids. We were scheduled within a few days of calling. You have your consultation and the release (if needed) done in the same appointment. The staff was extremely professional, kind, and caring. The facility is immaculate and very modern. We were provided with our own private and serene sitting room complete with a changing pad, a comfy recliner, and a boppy for nursing immediately after the procedure which took all of 3-5 minutes and baby wasn’t even crying when they brought her back to me. Dr. Berning was friendly and provided us with a ton of education on aftercare as well as recommendations for support resources in the area including chiropractors, cranial sacral therapy, IBCLC, and SLP. And she called to check on us this morning to see how baby was doing today! I was told in the hospital when she was born that she “may have a tongue tie” but the issue wasn’t really addressed or stressed. I struggled with a painful shallow latch and low milk supply for 6 weeks before taking the plunge to have her evaluated. If you’re on the fence about having your little one evaluated for a tongue or lip tie, its so worth it! We have already seen improvements in the first 24 hours!

Exceptional Dentistry is the best dental practice in Dubuque. They have created a warm and welcoming atmosphere and the staff are awesome. Highly recommend!

I have been going to Exceptional Dentistry for 12 years and love it there! They are so friendly and welcoming! The office has a relaxing "spa like" atmosphere that takes away any anxiety you may have about going to the dentist. They take time to listen to any concerns you may have and discuss options. I have recommended to family and friends, and have to share that when my father had an accident, the WHOLE STAFF signed a card and mailed to him. They are so very thoughtful! You will not be disappointed!!
