I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Berning and the staff at Exceptional Dentistry!! My infant son was having trouble with nursing, and Dr. Berning was quickly able to find the problem and provide a solution. The procedure was went very smoothly and quickly- I was back with my baby in under 5 mins!! Dr. Berning was wonderful with soothing my very frazzled nerves, and never made me feel like she had anywhere else to be. She called several times after the procedure to ensure healing was going well, and just to check in with how I was doing with it all. Not only was Dr, Berning amazing, but the front office staff rocked as well! They always had smiles on their faces, and made such a fuss over my little guy- made us feel very welcome and comfortable. I highly recommend Dr. Berning and Exceptional Dentistry for any parent and baby dealing with lip and/or tongue tie issues. I will be forever grateful to her for helping me continue to provide my son with the nutrition and relationship that is so important to me!

I wish we lived in dubuque so that we could go here all the time. Kristine Berning saved my breastfeeding relationship with my son. I came to her after being told by many people that we didn't have a tongue tie. Sure enough we did and thanks to Kristen we are still nursing 4 months later! When I emailed Kristen Berning she immediately got me in to an appointment and understood what we had been going through. After the procedure she was wonderful about answering any questions and making herself available. I would highly recommend Kristen as well as this practice to anyone!

My kids will often ask, "When is it our next dentist appointment?" They look forward to visiting the dentist. I wonder if it is because the toys in the waiting area, the "treasure chest" toy afterwards, or the bottle of water offered in the waiting area. It may be all those things but as a mom I deep down feel that it is the comfort feeling they have when they are their for an appointment. Everyone makes them feel welcomed and with their warm smile. It may also be the new toothbrush, toothpaste and floss they get afterwards also:) It makes me so happy that my kids look forward to going to the dentist because when I was younger, that was not always my experience. Thank- you Exceptional Dentistry for the wonderful experience and great work that you do!

Our family has always had a positive experience at Excpetional Dentistry! When you walk in you feel at home and then you are greeted with a personal hello from the staff. All of their hygenist are very friendly easy to talk with. Dr Murry, Dr. Berning and Dr. Alexia Murray are very professional and make your experience very rewarding. Our children LOVE going to the dentist and will count down the days until their next appointment. Thank you for making the dentist an enjoyable experience!!!

I am incredibly pleased with the care my infant daughter received from Dr. Berning at Exceptional Dentistry. I was concerned about some mouth issues that were hindering my daughter's eating and that were not solved in consultation with her pediatrician's office. I had heard great things about Dr. Berning, so I set up an initial consultation. Prior to that appointment, Dr. Berning's office contacted me to learn more about the situation and then Dr. Berning contacted me as well. I could tell immediately that Dr. Berning was personally interested in helping my daughter's situation and, in the initial consultation, she quickly diagnosed the problem and proposed a course of treatment. Bringing an infant in for a procedure can be scary, but Dr. Berning's thoughtful and caring demeanor along with her ability to explain the procedure made me much more comfortable. The procedure went great and Dr. Berning has followed up since then to ensure that everything is still going smoothly. My daughter's issue is now completely resolved and she is eating like a champ! I am so grateful to Dr. Berning and Exceptional Dentistry and highly recommend their services!

Our experience at Exceptional Dentistry was professional and personal. My son's procedure was fast, painless and successful. The aftercare was thoughtful and Dr. Berning personally called several times to check up on the recovery. I highly recommend Dr. Berning and Exceptional Dentistry.

We sought out Dr. Kristen Berning in hopes that the lip-tie and tongue tie revisions would save our breastfeeding experience from coming to a premature end. We cannot thank Dr. Berning enough for what she has done for our family. What an improved difference the lip-tie & tongue-tie revisions have made in how our now 3 month old son is nursing! Dr. Berning treated us with kindness and compassion. During the entire process she made herself extremely accessible and continued to personally follow up with us as our son was healing. Moreover, the office team is extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and kind! We are so grateful to find a medical professional who is passionate about supporting breastfeeding families! We can’t thank you enough.
